Best check rain today again if you live on the South Coast - you're about to get wet.

    Very very wet

Looks like London is going to get soaked in the next 15 mins, and its going to last a good couple of hours. No waterproofs so is going to be a very wet ride home.

It's OK to let the thread stop now. It's dry in Leeds.

Got properly drenched today, thought I had got away with it until halfway home when we had what is technicaly known as a 'cloudburst'.

On another note I have found that DHB roubaix shorts, lidl top and gillet are a really good rain option. Much more comfy than my boil in the bag winter jacket providing you keep the hammer down and the body heat up.

Yup... it was just damp when I left the office but was thoroughly soggy by the time i got home.

My Pearl Izumi gilet held up OK - the cheap 'standby' rain jacket that a pal picked me up in Lidl less so - I'm not sure I'd have got and wetter if I'd left it off... There is a small part of me (when cycling home to where a hot shower and lots of comfy clothes await me) that quite likes the rain and splashing through puddles in the park...

I got wetter in an hour tonight than on the 4h/60mile sportive last Sunday... it was raining so hard I couldnt see through the glasses and the wind was blowing the water through the lens anti-mist vents :(

Hot shower and I'm feeling quite good now :)

Despite getting a train from Farringdon to Tooting, I still got soaked in the 15 minute home stretch - it wasn't actually raining that hard, but I haven't seen that much standing water for a long, long time. Are all the drains in London blocked?

I thought about going out for a quick ride, but currently we appear to trying out every type of weather possible.

Better get my sledge ready, you never know ....
