    Breakfast: Beans on toast
    Elevenses: Tea Cake
Lunch: Pitta, Hummus, salady Meze type thang
    Tea: Coffee cake, Carrot cake

Proper tea and coffee. Winter, soup not from a packet. Drink bottle gunk sachets. Energy bars.

One of those converted ciggie machines that dispense tubes that Conti and schwalbe do would look cool

A big, moist slab of cake! Preferably carrot or coffee & walnut, or chocolate or Victoria Sponge.

Or even a Bakewell tart, or a treacle tart.

Just so long as it's moist and has a lot of icing. Mmmmmm...

    +1 Nom Nom!!

Basically I'll eat pretty much anything that's going.

I really like bacon and egg (maybe a sausage) in a lightly toasted wholemeal sandwich with brown sauce. Carrot cake is also a winner in my book.

If you opened early (pre-ride) - get some porridge in.

You could always consider serving "Steak a la Contador" to those who need a pick me up!

Ok so I have lots of catering management experience including a cafe so here goeswith some tips:

    Good quality bread
Thick soups - not with flour but with beans/pulses and potatoes - Lentil and Chorizio is my fave
Cakes need to be moist and should almost certainly include nuts
Tea - good selection of tea and serve lots of it not poncey wee cups - big proper mugs
Coffee - take the time to perfect it, a good espresso should have a head on it like a good pint of guinness and serve it with a small glass of water, and grind only a little more than you need keep it fresh.
Proper hot chocolate that needs a spoon to eat!

And for breakfast a tattie scone and bacon roll from a chargrill!

When and where are you opening?

Whatever you sell, make sure you get a proper coffee machine.

I so agree with this, make sure this is your main thing you buy, and make sure you have the right location. other than that, maybe copy another one in the country that does it well. Wilfs in the Lakes seems to attract cyclists like nothing else, if you want to copy success.
