Winter training option

I know its quite early to start, but I was wondering what I would do for winter training!
I was thinking I have a couple of on bike options. either start riding at the local track, or start riding a bit of cyclocross.
I mostly ride sportives, and have recently starting doing crits. I would like to start doing some more road racing next year.
My current training is mostly about increasing power, my endurance is quite ok really.
Any ideas welcome!
Cheers

Why don't you worry about building your fitness through the summer first - and then worry about your winter fitness regime in October or so?
Why are you worried about next winter and we haven't even hit summer yet?0 -
I am not worried about anything, I was just riding home last night and was thinking about it. Many things could change by October.
But it is was just thinking I thought about on my ride, so posted the question.Scott Addict 2011

Have you got a turbo trainer? They seem like a good option when the roads are too icy for safe riding. That said I got sick of turbo training by the end of last winter, and so have bought a single speed cyclocross bike for off road fun in the winter!
Also what about a program of weight training as a way of building your strength?0 -
Yes I have a turbo, but I struggle with spending much time on it!
I would like to do something that would compliment my summer riding, so weight training is certainly a option!Scott Addict 2011
