A patch of squashed cockroaches in suburban Japan. Must have been feasting on something during the night when they were run over.

Camel earlier on this year, used to happen quite a lot but a camel fence put up a few years ago keeps them off the road. This one must have found a way through, very messy this one was.

I see the occasional squashed Little Blue Penguin out on the coast road - always a rather sad sight.

Considering how much they covet their camels the owners dont mind leaving them out in the 40'C heat for a week or 2 after they've bit the dust, we had a bus take out 3 camels and they laid there at the side of the road for nearly 3 weeks!

By the way yesterdays ride revealed,

1 X large black scorpion (perfect hit by the car, scorpion was beautifully pancake flat)
1 X unknown snake about a metre long
2 X cats (at least one was definitely a cat)
