    Theres usually an ambulance in the car park stitching something back on to someone so you dont need to worry too much about directions.

    Last time I went there, there was an ambulance driving out as I pulled into th carpark, we went round the red and came back to the cafe for lunch and a paramedic was there and just getting ready to drive away. Then did the black run, came back and another ambulance was there.

    3 in a day lol

    one of the down sides of making mountain biking more accessable imo :?

    No no, Im afraid you are mistaken. Picture the scene

    Fat middle aged bloater with a bit of money decides to give mountain biking a go.."I'll show you whippersnappers" he says ...buys a full carbon bike for £3k for his first go.

    Fat middle aged bloated goes straight onto a black run all heroic and stuff, on his brand new £3k carbon bike. "get out of my way you lot, I'll show you how its done"

    Fat middle aged bloated falls off, snaps his arm and gets rushed to hospital.

    12 months later after never using his £3k carbon bike again, he finally gives in to is wifes nagging and puts it on ebay.

    Enter Dan Shard with a £1k buy i now offer. Thank you very much fat middle aged bloater for my mint £3k carbon bike

    Happy days :lol::lol::lol::D

    Slightly offtopic maybe. But how accessible is this place by train? I fancy giving it a bash sometime.

    Its about 11 miles from Wrexham station but is quite a climb up through Coedpoeth. Nearest station is Penyfford about 10 miles but much less climbing though getting to Penyfford from Bolton will mean a change at Wrexham.

    Will give you a shout the next time we head up as my mate has a transit van and i take the car so can fit 7 in already but others drive aswell so we can always find a way to make room.
    What if your dreams and fears existed in the same place? What if to get to heaven, you had to brave hell? What if everything you've ever wanted cost you everything you've ever achieved? Would you still go there?

    pen-fordd is a good shout as you could ride up to a village called ffrith pretty easily and there is an offroad route ptretty much all the way from there,but if you stick to the roads take the lanes not minera road from pen-y-fordd, its bendy and very fast for cars...IMO pretty dangerous on a bike.
