Did 43 miles this morning, out at 5.30 am and still didnt avoid the wind, gusts up to 35mph and my route took me past a windfarm (on reflection not my best planning).

I still enjoyed it but it does take the edge off a little, forecast tomorrow? Gusts up to 50mph

But the pro riders must be able to cope, and compete. How do they do it?

    Get out and ride!

Four weeks later and he's done it twice because of the bloody wind, hopefully it won't put him off for good.

Personally it's been putting me off, I was starting to enjoy riding on my fixie so went out and bought myself a nice specialized allez for a first road bike and it's been really windy ever since so haven't really had the chance to have a good go on it :( I suppose being near the coast doesn't help, should just man up but the times I've been out in it it's killed me :( There's only so much turbo trainers can do for you
