Help getting fit after illness

I have been ill with mumps recently and have been off of the bike almost 6 weeks, apart from a few short (20 mile) very slow rides, and still have swollen glands and general fatigue.
I just wanted advice as to how I should build my training back up- whether I should train more frequently (i.e 6 days a week) for a shorter duration (i.e 1-2hrs) or less frequent but longer sessions (i.e 4 days with rides up to 4hours). I was riding approximately 15 hours a week at variable intensity levels depending on the focus of the session before i fell ill.

Build it up slowly and see how you feel yourself. If you still have some symptoms I don't know if you should be riding at all, but if you feel you must then take it easy and listen to your body.0
