Hi
I am currently considering cycling from Birmingham to Paris for charity.
I am reasonably new to road bikes, having switched from a MTB with slicks about a month ago, but have been commuting 5 days a week for about a year now.
I have been steadily increasing how many miles I do each day and I am now up around 35-40 miles a day, 5 days a week.
I think to get to paris it would be around 80 miles a day for 4 days.
how should i train to do the extra mileage?
i would also like to get a 100 miler under my belt at some point, so any tips on training for going from 35 miles a lot to a one off longer cycle would be good too.
Thanks
Chris

I did a cycle tour, Paris to Amsterdam with a mate, 80ish miles a day, singlespeed. Before that I'd never ridden more than 50 miles before. I was fine. You'll be fine.CAPTAIN BUCKFAST'S CYCLING TIPS - GUARANTEED TO WORK! 1 OUT OF 10 RACING CYCLISTS AGREE!0
