Good debate though!

I use this as a commuter on road, so never really needed the SID forks. I saved 850 grams with the new carbon forks.0 -

Sorry, i am not trying to be rude, as i really do hope you are happy with the bike and enjoying it!
Its just my heart sank when i saw the gold Mary bars and the downhill stem. I really loved it in its original form, and now its just not my cuppa-tea.
The Exotic forks are a great buy for such little money and make the front end very responsive. I still think you should have kept the SIDS though - great light fork and i bet you dont really notice the weight loss whilst riding.

The bars, well I only use the bike on road at the moment. The mary bars really are super comfortable for. I have made it into a bit of a town bike now. Yes, the bike has changed quite a bit from the first photos I posted a while back...but I am enjoying it. There are just too many combos with bikes and upgrades....I do agree that I should have held onto the SID forks....but suspension is when my needs change. Horses for courses as they say.
One thing I do know is that skinny tubes look best!0
