If driving to an cycling event on a sunny day don't pump up your tryes before you put your bike in the car.

This is how it goes: get up early, pump up tryes to max pressure in the cold, put wheels in rear of car. Several hours later, sun is beating down, heating the tyres, pressure increases above maximum, tyres explode with ear splitting bang causing driver to serve violently all over M25. Without spare tyre(s) have to give up on the idea of cycling.

Thanks for the info, will stay of the M25 with the bike in the car.
  • If you check the Highway Code I think you will find that it is illegal to take your bike on any motorway.

Mikeharris666 is excluded from this law..................... as he can ride at 77.1mph and so keep up with the flow of traffic 8)
  • Can't think of anything funny to add, you guys have excelled with the melting bikes!
Serious tip: always keep your lower back well covered by wearing a proper cycling top, they have extended back panels for that reason. It stops you getting cold and tense, which results in lower back pain.

Don't try to explain to your girlfriend the hilarious nature of this thread.
She'll just look at you like you've gone insane and then continue to stare at CSI Miami on the tele.
