Oh, and you also need to perform the thoroughly grown up and highbrow modification of taking a black marker pen and making it say "SEX" on your crank arms.

    Looking good!

I also like how the stickers on the double agents are green on yours. Did they come like that? Because mine are white.

Liking the green gear outers. You do need to do the brakes now too though imho.

    Nicely done picture too btw.

I must say, I'm surprised to see a fork that long with QR on it these days.
  • Awesome.

I wish I could've nudged my budget up to get the Edison. I loved my test ride.
Bianchi. There are no alternatives only compromises!
I RIDE A KONA CADABRA -would you like to come and have a play with my magic link?

I thought the same when I bought mine. It was the one thing that almost stopped me from getting one as I have always said I'd never go back to QR. Sheeps said that despite the QR, the front remained really stiff, and he was dead right.
It must be witchcraft or something because it does manage to hold everything remarkably well.
You can buy replacement lowers direct from bionicon to switch to a 15mm axle if you want (lowers are only held in place by 1x 5mm hex bolt in the bottom of each leg. Undo them and they just slide out) but I've never really felt the need.

Besides, they are only 150mm remember, and both Fox and Rockshox still make QR options for their forks with the same travel (as far as I'm aware).

yup agreed, they feel plenty stiff lthough im not sure if i know what a flexy fork feels like.

i think part of the stiffness comes from the 35mm legs

new saddle and grips have been ordered so im will get new pics when they arrive.

i did wonder which ones to get, i toyed with the idea of lime grips with white rings but decided to go white grips with lime rings. should will be here tomorrow. the grips i have now are ok but the rubber is quite plasticky so i wanted somethign a bit more comfortable, hopefully the thicker superstar ones will fit the bill

im waiting to hear back from bionicon about a set of bigger bar clamps so i can run my sunline bars on it and i reckon it will be ace looking.

Looking very nice there sir! Do the Roval wheels give you the option to upgrade to 9mm front and 10mm rear qr? Done my front Hope and just waiting for the rear to come back in stock at Superstar. I thoroughly recommend it. What a lovely bike. Top work.

unfortunately not, these are the original version of the wheelset so only have 25mm, 20mm and qr adapters (all supplied with the wheels)

im going to look into having a sleeve made for the 20mm adapters to run the 15mm lowers, i think one of the adapters will need 5mm machining off and then just a tube of the correct length to take up the space between the adpaters and axle.

Just get some lime green superstar hubs with white flow rims :D
Then you can do the 9mm thing.

the bike is aready heavy enough at 31lbs although i am tempted to buy a harder hitting set of wheels.

    Looking good.

Sadly that's the reason I didn't go for them. There is not enough room on my bars to go any longer without moving something so that it's not in the best position for my hands.

im gonna give them a run out and decide if they are too long. i may well swap them over for some regular ones

I had some of those grips, they were nice thickness but just a bit too long, meant I'd have to move the brakes about 1/2 inch further in and it didn't quite feel right.

Tidy looking bike you got there though.

sheepsteeth what diameter heat shrink tubing did you use for the gear lines?, looking at doing the same thing myself, can't find anything on the size to use.
    Fancy a brew?
  • Whats that saddle?! would look great on the boardman lol!

Those grips are fairly large, but the colour looks spot on!
