does anyone else get really bored having to explain word by word exactly what they meant when posting, cos of someone who could start a row while looking in the mirror. jesus. ok here is original post.mattshrops wrote:ok following on from the groupset question (and the fit blonde vs, the minger) new question.
youve bought a std bike and youre allowed only one upgrade, which one for performance?
have you actually done it? did it work?
NOT
hi im a lazy b@stard and want to go fast on my bike without pedalling. has anyone invented a front light which doubles as a teleportation device. ive got loads of money to waste, hurry.
dennisn, can you see the difference between the two. obviously you are riding about on a 1930's butchers bike , which youve left the basket on cos that would count as an upgrade and theyre only for lazy people. P tucker , well how did i know youd be along.thanks for your input.Death or Glory- Just another Story0 -
Spokeley dokeleys.
I just love the sound as they bounce round the wheels. Make me go faster so I make more noise0 -

My answer is still the same. You posted this in the beginners section, so in order to save you spending money on things that won't help you I suggested more training. Spend
all you want on your bike and components. Not a problem with me. I'm just saying that
you can't buy what you're looking for. If all you had to do was buy things, hell, we would all be as fast as the Pros. You did want to know what you could buy that would make you faster, didn't you? Was that not your intent for the original post? :? :?
no. anything else to add? fascinating.
Well, did you or did you not post that question so you could try BUYING something that would make you faster? :? :?0 -
Not bigging myself up here but I passed plenty of £3-4k bikes on a triathlon this sunday just gone. I expect their riders thought they could buy some speed. Upgrades are nice if you want to have nice things but don't expect them to transform your riding.Norfolk, who nicked all the hills?

I'd LOVE to see a singing and dancing bike. Would make the MP3 player totally redundant.- - - - - - - - - -
