    i think it would be better if he crossed the line crying and appologising to the forumites

    perhaps performing domestic duties to thirdcats and sportiv riders for the unforgiveable crime of being the best tour rider in the world.

    Pretending to fire a pistol as a celebration is always going to look silly when you are a grown man - when some footballers used it as a goal celebration I believe someone had a quiet word with them abou tit not being acceptable and the same should happen here.
    it's a hard life if you don't weaken.

    The pistol just ran out of ammo.
    Came in 3 minutes down on today's mountaintop finish in Castilla.

    I was watching. There are a couple of live feeds.
    He had 2 mechanicals, one on each climb.
    He was already in the 3rd group, when the first happened.
    Ironically, it looked like he had a touch of the "Andy's" then couldn't find a tidy gear.
    When he got the second, (puncture at 4kms) he threw a sulk and just gave up.
