I tried Shim.very very smooth but like Honda...clinical and no soul.

I'm not sure how a collection of metal and plastic/carbon fabrications is supposed to have 'soul' or whether I'd be swayed by it or not if it did :? And no axe to grind here, having both Ultegra 6700 and Record 2011 myself

As a Dura Ace user I do love the smoothness of it and would stick with it on my next bike if it were not for the shared gear/brake levers.

If Campag were to adopt/steal/pay for the double tap technology of Sram then for me it would be a no brainer.

However as I cant see that happening anytime soon , then Sram Red will have to be my next groupset of choice.

I need to go for some test rides to compare the different systems. When I think of double tap I think of the saying "Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice."
