A spur of the moment thing, you know how you get caught up in the moment sometimes and end up looking a tool haha. There was another camera the other side hence looking over that way haha.
wasn't quite enough time to do that the other time
There will be another entry tomorrow after the raceBlog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -
i raced at Hillingdon twice last season, with varying success, first one i was 4th in the 2/3 cat race with my team mate who had been away for the last 15 laps coming 2nd, then the 2nd one i did, myself and a team mate were mid pack on 2nd to last corner so i tapped him on the leg told him to follow my wheel and gunned it down the outside of everyone to lead him out for the win, with a headwind on the finish straight i ended up coming somewhere rubbish, but both those races i don't think there was any crashes which seems like a massive strike of luck judging by your blog0

Hi Mate,
Yes, the race starts at 9am (depending on if it's icy, then it can be delayed). I got there around 8.15ish to sign up at the gate and get all my stuff ready, sign in and then have a few warm up laps.
Remember your car registration though because the security guard gets grumpy when you don't know it0 -
Very good first attempt from the sounds of it, worked hard throughout and got yourself some well deserved points. You'll be in with the 3rd cats before you know it!0
-
think the gap from 4ths to 3rds is probably bigger than I gave it credit for, looking at race stats from clubmates 4ths races to my 3rds races they're actually quite a bit quicker at times.
I'm looking forward to being able to blog about some road races as I'm pretty sure people are bored of reading about Hillingdon every week haha!Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -

this is a Surrey league 2,3 rr the day after the race above, i got 3rd on my training bike so was fairly happy, i opened up my sprint a bit early thinking the finish was at what turned out to be a road sign, so annoyed on that count.0 -

this was probably my best race to date, 12 in a Belgian Kermesse, is it hard to tell from that data how hard they actually are!0 -
Good stats.
They're easier to analyise on on Strava, but the pace is high in the Hillingdon race. Mind you it is summer I guess. not bad pace to get to 37, I haven't gone balls out that way round, but I'd imagine its a more pleasant sprint thatthe uphill where I've managed just under 37, which is if you are in the right place, a winning effort. Sadly I've been slack on being in the right place.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -
Top speed is 47 mph. Is there a big hill there?0
-
Thnk that might be a glitch as when you actually look at the race it peaks at 37 or so.
I doubt many people would be capable of 47 mph at Hillingdon.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -

Was almost a bust up between some Bristol VC rider and another guy who held on to him @ Ludgershall 3/4 lol...Both being a bit of a knob really...putting other people at risk by wiggling around arguing. Must have been the wind blowing sense out of everyone0 -

Just got in from Ludgershall... Managed sod all today. It was supposed to be 3/4ths but was split due to large numbers. Unfortunatly it ended up joint for the last couple of laps. Way too many people! How nobody went down I have no idea...0
