Shaving legs

I got serious hair on my legs, though i'd never dream of shaving/waxing them. Unless someone paid me perhaps 8) I just don't see the so called "aerodynamic" advantages being any where near rewarding enough for being mocked every time i wear normal shorts of off the bike.
That and i can imagine it being incredibly painful and having womanly legs doesn't appeal to meCannondale SS Evo Team

I've always wondered just why would you bother removing leg (and presumably arm)hair for cycling purposes.
As far as I can tell the reasons are:
1)Aerodynamics-for the very (marginal) difference it would make where do you stop -all head hair,eyebrows....ears?!
2)Less road rash when you emergency dismount.I don't know about everyone else but I try to avoid this if possible but over the years the odd unavoidable meeting with the road surface doesn't justify the pain/discomfort of regular shaving/waxing etc
Which leaves only:
3)Aesthetics/feel.If you really like the look and feel of smooth legs on yourself go for it but don't pretend it's got anything to do with cycling :roll:0 -

It's nothing to do with aerodynamics.
By the way, did mine on Saturday and regretted it - it turns out that while my legs have remained thin compared to the rest of me they still have a layer of flab and there is no muscle definition. They are also very, very white even with the tiny bit of tan I got on my Sunday ride. Think I'll got to a beautician I know and get them waxed and then have a fake tan next time!0 -

In that case you are utterly forgiven. You cannot question her for any of her choices in life I'm afraid.
She has the total upperhand. You ARE under the thumb.
Enjoy...

Have a read of a post about what cycling has done for you page 5 I think. Acquire that many bikes without getting killed and you've nailed this relationship malarky. You will feel better for it.
Just a suggestion
