Numb Nuts!

I've currently suffering with numbness down below when I get about thirty minutes into a ride and doesn't stop until about ten minutes from when I stop. Before I go to the expense of a new saddle I was hoping someone out there knows what is causing it and how mybe I could remedy it?

Try angling the seat down a touch, the numbness comes from putting pressure on the nerves and sensitive area of your perinium.

Or perhaps lowering the saddle a touch also/instead?

I used to get the same and tried all angles but to no avail. Don't take chances with your baby makers, a saddle with a cut out does the trick.

    ^--- Wot he said.

    Sort of.

Some basic adjeustments should tried first (like height, angle, etc). It could be that simple.

I had such bad problems that I invested in some somewhat untraditional saddles with giant cut-outs to eliminate pressure on the undercarriage (Selle SMP for road and Adamo for TT).

    No comfort problems any more.

I had the same problem and changed saddle. I didn't want to start changing saddle height/position as I knew my bike was the correct fit. I bought a Specialized Toupe gel and have not had numb nuts since. It has the cut out centre as mentioned above and is very comfortable. Have done 100+ mile rides and not had any probs.
