    Colnago.jpg

The steerer has been cut, bar tape is now white, Vittoria Paves fitted and wheel stickers removed for bare shiny rims.
Although I hope to "have" to upgrade the components as I go.

PS:- If anyone knows of a supplier of quality naked alloy stem & bars, let me know
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Token do a chrome plated one which might match well, but not Italian either. You need to go 1" threaded for a big choice of Italian bare alloy stems.

Or scour eBay for some NOS Cinelli or similar.

Check out http://www.freshtripe.co.uk/ for some Velo Orange stuff. It's a bit like Nitto but cheaper. The quality is still superb though.

That said, I read something on here recently about Cinelli starting to make some of their old classic stuff again.

Now you are talking! Nothing on their website though.

It's a pity Colnago gave in and went for the threadless system but that's "progress". I may be missing something there though

No idea what I'd do with a singlespeed 29er hardtail with rigid forks, but I reckon the Niner Air 9 Carbon is gorgeous:

Quite like that. Why not the emx-7, though?

that just happened to be the one I was looking at. I'm not a massive fan or the MERKX detailing on the 5 and 7's... they are really nice though

I once saw a Carrera Vulcan being ridden down Union St in Glasgow with a rather incongruous set of Rockshox Boxxers fitted. The angles weren't quite as mental as that one but they were close.

This doesn't look at all ugly.
Three different coloured spokes on the front wheel, three different colours on the front wheel, half Brooks style/half 1980s style Turbo saddle, water bottle bosses too low to be practical, nut saver pad like BMXs used to have, coloured chain, shin shredder metal pedals, cable housing colour coded to match the really cool colours on the front wheel, white front tyre. What a cool bike.
If it was any cooler it would come with extra skinny jeans and an ironic haircut.
