planning on a few longer races this yr to coincide with me 40th!. Never done a 100miler and am looking for advice on the best way to train to get through it as opposed to a podium finish. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some top tips and handy hints for surviving...
I commute over 100miles a week, race mtb 12/24hr events so have a fairly good baseline endurance level (IMO!! )
cheers

Are you talking about a 100 mile TT, or a long road race?0

Sounds like you've already got a good enough base to get you through, just get some long(er) rides in at the weekend and you'll be sorted.
It'll pay to think about food and drink, you state its a "race", is it a race or a sportive?, as this will have a bearing on things.0
