Good luck, starting a new job on a friday? craaaaazy kittens.
well today i have yet anotherd diary full of Meh, but hopefully i wont drive into any barriers today?
Last night the wife bought some more rump steak from the closest thing we have to a butcher (sainsburys meat counter) and she's finally reallisng that good steak is better the rarer its cooked. 8) so this was suitably washed down with a bottle of red and topped of nicely with a very large glennfiddler.
hopefully the weekend will be better? got a wedding, no kids and no racing.0 -
Good morning.
First day of my lambing placement today. I get paid for it which is a bonus, but I don't know how long the placement lasts and I'm not sure what day's I'm working.
Hopefully It'll last until the 17th for admin reasons and consequently make my life easier over the next few months.
Anyway I need to get some baconz down me before I leave.

Morning. I think.
No bacon (surprised?) Well thats not actually correct, I have some in the freezer, just no time to zap it and cook it before work.
Oh well, coffee calls.
Laters
Love n hugs

Ahh, Friday. That means the wander across work to the canteen for a fried breakfast.
Bacon will feature. Nom nom.How would I write my own epitaph? With a crayon - I'm not allowed anything I can sharpen to a sustainable point.

Good morning, today is the first day of the Bikeradar Crudcatcher Endomondo Cycling Distance challenge (still time to join in). And I'm STILL without my new wheels
No matter though, an old spare set has been chucked on which will hopefully not assplode on my short commute.
Hey, could be worse at least:
Yesterday was Thursday Thursday.
Today it is Friday Friday

w00t! Friday it be!!
I am armed with a large cappuccino with enough extra shots to erode an Ikea teaspoon in minutes.
Today is a day of calendrical juggling trying to get my appointments for next week sorted out.
On the up side 8 more hours in the area of overcast Surrey then I head home to [probably equally as overcast] Stoke0 -
Good Morning Fools!
TGIF and Happy April Fool’s Day everyone.
Ride in this morning was a little eventful, even before it began. Immediately after eating breakfast (which today was peanut butter on toast), I had a hypo. According to my medical advisors, this isn’t supposed to happen straight after eating, but it did. So, completely ignoring any advice and instructions from my doctor, I shovelled in as much chocolate as was humanly possible, then rode to work*. If I’m honest, I wasn’t feeling too good for the first couple of miles and decided to take the shorter route in. However, by the time I got to Cardiff, I was flying along.
I’m thinking a bacon roll might be in order and I’m pretty sure my caffine levels need topping up with a nice large latte.
My plan for the day involves not doing much work at all prior to riding home, then chilling in front of the tv tonight.
*This isn’t the proper way of dealing with hypo and I don’t recommend this for any other diabetics. It just works for me. I would, under ‘normal’ circumstances have taken the train to work but:Cat With No Tail wrote:today is the first day of the Bikeradar Crudcatcher Endomondo Cycling Distance challenge.
So that’s 11 miles in the bank this morning…

I wonder if you've just noticed the same thing as me.
It's not counted my ride this morning (thankfully, it was only a short one, the weather here is fookin awful) because it's set for "cycling, sport" rather than "Mountain Biking" or "Cycling, transport".
Luckily, in your endomondo page, you can go into "edit" and change it.0 -

OOOOooooo groggy start to the day
I blame VWsurbum for opening up the possibilites of opening a 2nd bottle of wine, damn them southafricans are good at fermenting grape juice

Something's not right. Blood sugar levels were okay when I woke up. Insulin injection at my normal level. Eaten two slices of peanut butter on toast, 2 Rocky chocolate bars, a Mars bar and consumed a bacon roll and my sugar levels drop again!
Just had to scoff a chunky Kitkat and a pork pie. :evil:0 -

Yo El Cap, got us all a little concerned here.
I'm sure you'll get it all balanced out and have a cracking weekend cycling in the sun (wind and/or rain)
GWS El Cap0 -
Just missed the morning post. Never mind.
Hi y'all! I joined a gym yesterday  Determined to make me a bit healthier, since movin house, I've eaten quite a lot of cr@p and done no excerise and so put on some weight. Want to join the endomondo challenge thing, but the bikes still aren't in action yet.
El Cap hope you're ok. Give the docs a quick ring, see what's happenin. It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.
Join us on UK-MTB we won't bite, but bring cake!

Cheers for all the comments. Phoned my "specialist nurse" and had a conversation along the lines of:
Me: I keep getting hypos
Nurse: Are you eating enough?
Me: Does a one legged duck swim in circles? (listed off food eaten and blood sugar readings).
Nurse: (after a rather pregnant pause)I'll have a quick chat with the doctor once he's free and call you back.
10 minutes later...
Doctor: You're not normal are you?
Me: And is that your professional opinion?
Doctor: Eat/drink lots of sugary stuffs, checking blood/sugar levels every half an hour. If it keeps dropping, you'll need to come to the hospital. If this sort of incident carries on, you'll need to come to the hospital. If your blood/sugar levels are low in the morning, for God's sake don't take any insulin and come to the hospital.
Me: Erm, okay.
Blood/sugar levels seem to have stabalised a bit now and feel a bit better in myself - SUGAR RUSH!!!!!
Need to get myself back into riding type condition so I don't have to leave the Focus in the basement all weekend (it will get lonely...).0 -
