Blow-up

Schoolboy error - I was on a 100 km training ride over the weekend and blew up after 80 km - own stupid fault, hadn't taken on enough food or fluid.

Since then have noticed an alarming lack of power in the legs - like when a car has run out of petrol and messed up the engine. Mentally I seem to be short on the necessary mojo too.

I've been training quite intensively for the last three months (for an event in early July) so am a bit concerned that I'll now start to taper off.

Any tips (food, training regime) on how to get back in the groove would be appreciated - is it just a matter of resting my aging limbs ?

Many thanks

take a day or two off to recover. the weekend was only 3 days ago. if you put your body somewhere it doesn't want to be you have to let it get over it.
