    You can see why QS wanted the world points before Flanders - when boonen had a mechanical he had enough time waiting for the car which was last in the queue to sit down on the verge for a bit. He lost 1min30 on a wheel change.

    UCI has agreed to make the 2012 edition 30km longer. Quite right. If it's a world cup race, it needs to be world cup distance.

    I'm all for Ghent Wevelgem going back to a proper "classic" distance, but worry that might be the final nail in the coffin for the E3 Harelbeke if they keep the dates the same.
