Numb finger

I've recently up'd my training and on longer rides (+2 hours) I get a numb ring finger on my left hand.
I've tried different gloves, bar tape and regularly changing hand position on bars. I ride mainly holding the hoods.
Any advice on how to manage this?
TIA

I did LEJOG last year and by the end of it my left had was constanly in the Spock " live long and prosper" pose - my bike mates thought i was really funny but when the shower gell just goes straight through your fingers, well...............anyway they weren't so much numb just i couldn't put them together. I can only put it down to riding so much.Boardman Team 09 HT

Ulnar nerve compression? Have you got gel inserts in gloves? Problem is maintaining the wrist in extension by the sounds of things.0

I have to admit i do have padded gloves but for the ride i chose to wear gloves with very little padding as they were more comfortable out of all the ones i took with me. Your right tho, the problem was probably trying to keep my wrists the best position and failing.Boardman Team 09 HT
