Preparing for training camp

Am going on a weeks cycling training camp in Italy at the end of April. I want to get there in relatively good shape. I have 2 weeks off from today and can get plenty of rides in along with a bit of gym time. Any advice on a cycling training regime over the next two weeks?
Should I build up the miles steadily or mix and match with shorter and longer rides and do I need days off etc. thanks

I was meant to have been in Majorca this week but for various reasons didn't make it. I had been mixing long rides with strength-interval work on the turbo to try and handle the long climbs. Seems to have benefited me here in the UK as well so I will carry on.
They've had mixed fortunes with weather and some have been a bit ill, but one of my mates sent a great video back though of them descending one of the mountains there.
