Slander, excuse me? You're the one who blew off the handle when I suggested you should ask people their permission, an accused me of being from the dark ages.

sorry, a thieving score, whatever the hell that means, is slander. Accusing me of doing something I haven't done.

And yes, you do look like your from the dark ages.. or just sat in a dark room infront of a screen all day anyway!

    Don't feed the trolls..

I'm up your neck of the woods in April... maybe we could hook up and take some pictures together.. :D

    holding hands and such... 8)

It was meant to be scrote, stupid autocorrect!

And no, it's not slander, because it is precisely what you were suggesting you might do. Using people's pictures without permission is stealing them.
Sure, I'd love to meet up in April, see if you're as self confident and cocky in the flesh. I somehow doubt it.

Oh, I assure you, I can be a thoroughly unpleasant person.
So, let's say you were done for copyright theft, what effect what that have on your employment I wonder.
Take the hint, ask people's permissions. And quit being such a jackass.

Excuse me yeehaamcgee. I believe the original post requested photos to be sent to him hence having the owners permission and it was YOU that suggested looking in the "picture paints a thousand words" thread.

Im also slightly confused by your comment regarding copyright. Having not searched every photo on the thread I can't say for certain, but I'm fairly confident in saying none of the photos I've seen posted on here are copyrighted or come with a copyright notice... Or why anyone (unless they are professional photographers) would want to have mtb snaps copyrighted. I'm sure if the photos are marked as copyrighted they wouldn't be used but as the vid has neither been produced yet or published, calling someone a thief is in fact slander
There's the "A pictue paints a thousand words" thread, and "the hub photo club".
    Have a nosey in there.

i think by law that the person who takes the picture owns the copyright whether it's marked as copyrighted or not, it then gets murky if the original picture gets changed at all etc etc

I did suggest looking there yes. This forum has a very easy way to ask the person who posted the picture for permission. And yet this is the conversation the guy flipped out about...

I hope you're only using pictures you've been given explicit permission to use or are rights-free as per copyright law?

Nope. I've only taken pics that have already been posted in the public domain of this forum. I will also post a private link once it is done on the thread. So. Only the people who have already posted on that section will be able to see. If anyone was to have an abjection to it then they can ask me in private to remove the pic from the vid. Although I think most people will be only more then happy to be featured in a video that contains their photo. Unless it's someone like you ofcourse who doesnt want to show how much they love this sport and share it with others.. Or u could just be trolling. Which I'm guessing is the latter. So cheer up grumpy socks! This is meant to be fun! ;)
I hope you've asked permission for the photos you've used from here. I won't be impressed if I find any of mine there without permission.

Over-react much? you decide. He then went from that, to suggestions of violence, blaming me for keeping the sport in the dark ages and all manner of other things.
So don't start blaming me for kicking off this time. I have done so plenty of times in the past (and will continue to do so, I have a very short fuse, and I hate having mis-information being spread), but this is someone else's complete over-reaction on this occasion.
And it's all 'cause he wants to do some slide show to music.

There are professional photographers on here. We have two great threads where they will contribute by posting some of their stuff, but they're not likely to be impressed by someone taking their work for their own uses.
