Hi
I was just wondering what training you guys recommend for when your off the bike? I'm currently travelling and haven't got my bike with me for the next month till i get home. I've got a training plan sorted for when i get home and some races lined up in the summer but wondered if you can give me any tips for off the bike training?
I'm currently doing pilates 5/6 times a week to get a strong core and raise my heart rate with my swimming and that's it really.
Any tips would be great!
Thanks

Run. It's not ideal, and there's not a perfect carry-over, but it's the easiest way to keep your fitness up when on the move, because running shoes are easy to take with you and there's always a bit of road or a park to run along! I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago where i was basically two months on the road and it didn't take too long after getting back on the bike to find my legs again. The only thing to beware is injury risk if you haven't run much before.0
