Time Cruched Cyclist question

All,
I am just about to start the TCC programme.
I have one quick question for the Overunder sessions the book lists the interval as 3 x 12 min OU(2U,2O) (6 min RBI)
Does this mean 12 min over and then 12 mins under, 6 mins rest before interval or half the time at over and half under ?
The only reason I ask is on a 60-90 min EM ride the OU session with rest takes the whole ride if you do 12 mins for each Over and under.
Thanks for your help.

no, i think the 2 under, 2 over for 12 mins, 6 mins rest then repeat 3 times. Note, this is my interpretation.0

It is 12 minutes of alternating between 2 minutes under and 2 minutes over, have 6 minutes rest, then repeat 3 times. Note, this is not my interpretation, this is exactly what it means.0

Thanks, it is clear now that the 2U & 2 O means 2 minutes !
Thought the interval seemed too long.
I am starting soon so just trying to get the ducks in a row!0
