I'm still riding on the massive high of becoming a parent!!! Wife gave birth to our daughter on Wed, called her Eva Lily.
When you hear/see people saying 'best thing ever done/feeling ever' I always used to think yeah yeah :roll: but I have to admit IT IS!!!!!

Congratulations, there's nothing like it.
Only piece of advice I have for parenting: what you need is stamina - just never, ever give up. One other thing - the more you are willing to give (to baby and Mum) the more you get out of it.

Congratulations, its a real rollercoaster, when are you having the next one? You'll get plenty of baby rearing advice, ignore it & go with your guts and buy Mrs DFR a cabbage - the leaves are very soothing0

Our son arrived in October last year - he's still not sleeping through! Get used to surviving on 5 (broken) hours...

Neither of my children slept through until they started with solid foods at 3 and 4 months respectively, then it all happens like magic!
(I'm talking about a bit of very runny baby rice or dissolved rusks, not sausages and chips)0 -

My first slept 13hrs a night right from the off. 2nd wasn't too bad either. That's just the wives though, the babies were up all night.0
