Emily is working on another photo now, plans to ink in the bike and add colour to the helmet.
Hope you like.0 -
That looks awesome too, great work again.0
-
Cheers.
She's a bit stumped by the tyres as they are blurred in the photo and she needs a decent image to follow - not sure what to do with them yet.0 -
maybe just take a photo of the tread pattern still and do that instead.0
-
aye, when she gets round to finishing the wheels I think that'll be the way forward0
-
She's finished it now... Lazy tyke wouldn't do the tyres or the frame in the end! This will probably be the last pencil drawn biker she does now so, hope you've all liked the drawings. Do pop over to her web cos she's very good.
Although, they're up in Picasaweb and I'm not sure the quality is that great. I don't have a flickr account - though I reckon they'd look much better there.
Oh, and I'll give anyone a thumbs up who can spot a few mechanical errors with the bike0 -
Missing driveside seatstay, headtube looks welded to the fork crown and shifter cable is linked between each other
Otherwise that's a fantastic drawing, im literally gobsmacked
Massive thumbs up!0 -
Fantastic work! Really good website as well Could do with a few more spokes in the front wheel0
-
Jesus that turned out well, I think it actually looks really cool without the frame and tyres being drawn in completely, bit of contrast to a super detailed rider!
She has some serious skill.0 -
Hell she is good!
Get over to Radbmx guys over there would go mad for drawings of their old school rides.

Cool beans Monster, the contrast is nice. I love the colour of the helmet - the picture mostly captures it, but it's the tiny level of difference between the tone across the helmet that's just gorgeous.
I'll pop over to radbmx too, cheers for the link - registration is offline atm.0 -
Im know on there give me a link to her site and I will post it up for you0
-
That is some crazy talent there. The realism of the fabrics and skin are incredible.
Very well done.0 -

Peat - glad you like her portraits are even more incredible.0 -
That is amazing. And the website is a nice simple design that works well, not trying to do much but still looking good.
Did she do art at Uni or something? That is some good work, I hope she can continue to make some decent money with a skill like that.0 -
Yeah she did art at Uni, though she doesn't make much money out of being an artist. She usually has a commision on but she works in a school so doesn't have the time to put into it. I think one day she'd love to go full time but it's not likely to happen.0
-
does she use ink pens for those dark/colour areas or purely pencil out of interest?London2Brighton Challange 100k!

the bike is inked, the helmet is inked, the biker is all pencil0

Post up in Rad lounge0 -
That is outrageously good. Though she forgot to draw your jersey.Uncompromising extremist0
-
I like to sing 'na na na na na na na na na na........ batman!!', you didn't see batman wearing a jersey did you? Jerseys are for Robins. And everyone knows Robin was an introvert homo.0

She's at another biker:

stop spending money on your bike, and buy her some full size drawing paper so she doesn't have to use scraps, you tight sod joking aside, she is really goodSpecialized Hardrock Sport Disc 10- CANYON Nerve AM 6 20110

We both laughed at that last night
And; not a chance!0 -
The finished piece:
There's a few little niggles with the bike - I don't think she enjoys drawing the mechanical bits. But looks pretty good! If you're interested in the process that went into the drawing, her page on this has some great pictures. (And she would love a few more likes on her facebook page )0 -
sort out that front Qr lever.
Pencil drawn? Looks more like a Rotoring penin that pic."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Yup, rotoring's! She's started inking in some of her drawings but on this one, it's only the bike the ink pen is applied to.0

Proper old school technical drawing/illustration implement that is...Cool, retro and sometimes downright rude MTB and cycling themed T shirts. Just MTFU.

This has actually inspired to have a go again myself..I used to love drawing when I was younger, very tempted to get the old pencils out again0
