Base fitness / endurance training Qn

At the moment, because I'm more focussed on running, I'm not putting much base-work in on the bike. And never have to be honest - two hours is my longest ride since I started six months ago.
My rides / spin classes are all high-intensity threshold / interval work. Or the odd 90 mins in say zone 3.
But I do lots of long fell / trail runs: up to four hours almost every weekend. So I have very good base fitness for running.
My question is - does that mean I also have a good base for cycling? At least enough to sustain the high intensity stuff I'm doing?
Or do I really need to get in some longer slower rides?

Your cycling legs will suffer the first few times on teh bike but I think they adapt quicker than cycling to running. Long slow stuff is probably unecessary - long steady is probably a good idea if you can.0
