  • long drive and DIY but will see my folks so that will be nice.
  • This weekend I cannot run and I cannot cycle due to patella tendonitis :(

Therefore I am going to go for a walk in the forest on Saturday and go out on (in?) the kayak on Sunday.

Sounds like my perfect weekend, with the exception of the househunting and cinema ;)

Getting the boiler fixed. Doing a monumental amount of laundry (I like doing the laundry). Playing Star Trek Online. Curling up next to my lovely girlfriend.

  • Now let me think.

Leave work at 1400hrs, go for a 40mile bike ride, home in time to "meet" the wife, curry tonight with friends we havent seen in way too long, then garding, tomorrow, followed by tea at the local with some friends & both sets of kids.

    Bring on 2pm.

Christmas dinner on Sunday, one of my boys was away on ship so we need to give him a decent belated Christmas.

I'll peel the veg the night before, get the brownie points in and may go out for an early morning ride.

I'm hoping we'll also be celebrating a rugby win too, but that maybe a bit too much to hope for.

Tonight - family are all out till about 9 so house to m'self. Prob doze with whatever's on't wireless tho.

Sat - bike needs a serious clean. It's so dirty that a lighthearted one just won't do. Then nothing except pottering & enjoying the fact that it's Saturday, which means a nice red somewhere along the way. Might sneak out early evening to watch the mighty Leicester destroy d****y county live in front of a laughing nation on Sky, if can be ar$ed.

Sun - Boy Sr football match in front of crowds of up to 72000, but possibly less. Sun PM take both boys to pub to see Man C v Man Ure, as they cover both bases between them. Only if they've got all their homework done though. If they haven't I'll go out and knock out a few miles to move into the top 50 on the Stats nonsense.

    Sun night. Slump, TG, wine.

Sling some heavy gearbox oil down the seat tube to resusictate the BB of the old Carlton I'm doing up (as recommended by Spa Cycles!) and then do the bar tape and then test ride!

If weather is nice, might go for a reasonable length ride, otherwise it will be hill repeats all weekend......
