Does anyone know of any good hills for reps near Battersea / Clapham common? Just moved there from and trying to find somewhere close by for training in the evening.

Thanks

head down to richmond park - much more user friendly hills for reps. is only about 5 miles to the park so not too bad.

the thought of doing reps on lavander hill/east hill is not great!
  • Start at the junction of dulwich common (on the south circular - follow the A205 from clapham common on google maps and you'll see it eventually) and lordship lane southbound, up the first hill, then get in the right hand lane for the first set of lights and take a right up sydenham hill, straight over at the mini roundabout onto kirkdale, down the hill, left onto dartmouth road, then left onto london road (you're now back on the A205 going north) and then up that hill and down on the other side and you'll be back where you started.

It's very tough but the downhill sections give you time to recover meaning you might be able to keep cranking out the laps until you're dinner is ready.

It can be a bit busy with traffic during rush hours so early early or late late.

I would definately recommend college road in Dulwich - plus you could go via Gipsy hill. If you are on a long ride you could start at the bottom of dog kennel hill work your way up Lordship lane past the horniman museum, turn round at the traffic lights by the Tesco and back down into Dulwich Common, up college road and then onto gipsy hill .

+1. You've got a choice of Dark, Sawyer's and Broomfield Hills in the Park, and Nightingale Lane (short and sharp, kicks up to 18%), Richmond Hill and Star & Garter Hill just outside Richmond Gate.

Anothe rvote for College Rd, too - there's the "College Road Challlenge" thread in Commuting Chat if you fancy posting your time. :)
