Bike rental Lancashire area?

I'm from the Preston area in Lancashire, uk but now live in France. I'm Training for the Marmotte this summer. Due to an already booked and paid for holiday and now a bereavement in my family, I will be out of training for 3 weeks from the end of May(need to sort out things in uk). As I'm heading to Greece and then straight back to uk I can't carry my bike all the way with me but need to keep the training up during this period. So, does anyone know where I could Hire a bike for 10 days or so in the lancs area? (forgot to mention, my wife needs one too!)

    A lot of the bike shops in preston have shut down in recent years, the only one i can think may hire bikes out is Leisure lakes on rhe way to southport. Although Dave at broadgate cycles does have some decent second hand ones in, i don,t think he hires them but it might be worth a shot they,re good lads to deal with.

    Last year the local sports centres (sefton , merseyside) did free bike hire.
    Might be worth checking out the preston area also.
    I suspect they will have baskets on the front or other hideous details.
