Yes, I'd read about his generosity to his team-mates, which apparently extends beyond the expected sharing of prize money.

Did he drop his trousers for them? :?
  • I was just going on public opinion, which seemed to suggest Dean and Russ for the breaks.

Lloyd makes more sense, maybe Hammond as he's good in the wind which will be a feature

Cummings can do breaks pretty well. A mountain stage of the Giro while at Barloworld and the cobbled stage of last year's Tour come to mind.

Mainly, Cav will need people to chase down the breaks on the last couple of laps.

Aye that's the role I'd have pencilled in for Wiggins or Millar, then the other can start the lead out before Geraint Thomas takes over.

Dean Downing! Gotta be about 50 or so guys ahead of him....dont think he's likely to score points though in order to be eligible. Think he's in the transitional stage between rider and pundit atm

    My guess would be:

Cav, Millar, Swift, Thomas, Russ Downing and Wiggins.....if they take 9 then I'm guessing Blythe, Hammond and either Hunt or Lloyd would be the additional 3

Regarding Cav's team for 2012, surely Sky will pull out all ths stops (£s) to hire him, when his current contract expires. He's big box-office and wins. A lot. Plus his mates are there. His coach. His agent etc. And there's the question of sponsorship at HTC High Road - is it as sound/secure as Murchoch's billions??!!!

If Sky could hire Renshaw, Tony Martin and Bernie Eisel then it's FSA...
