Anyone swear by a book or set of, or a website that lays down a really good training plan?

Don't think you're gonna get much for £30 a month - how much work would you do for £7.50 a week?

The best thing to do would be buy a training book and read it; and ask questions on here.

I'd send an email out with a training shedule 12 times a year for £360.00 a year to 20 people. Thats 240 emails for £7200.00 if you had the knowledge that is.

I think you might be right however. There may be a cut off point cash wise to what can be done and acheieved based on minimal contact vs spend.

There may be someone however that offers something similar?

  • The best book I have seen for training, even if you don't own a SRM or Powertap is "Racing and Training with a Powermeter" by Allen and Coggan.

I think Joe Friels Training Bible is good, although I think it's the kind of thing you get more out of having raced a few seasons. Lots of people talk about the Time Crunched Cyclist.
"And the Lord said unto Cain, 'where is Abel thy brother?' And he said, 'I know not: I dropped him on the climb up to the motorway bridge'."

  • Best book even if you don't own one is Allen and Coggan (2010) Racing and Training with a power meter.
