Only if you live on the moon...do you live on the moon?Formally known as Coatbridgeguy0 -
If you live in England, Wales is practically the moon! I can get to the outer Hebrides with less hassle than Wales! (I spent a few days camping at Stoth cove on the Hebs last summer 8) )0

I've spoken to Monte before about life and working abroad. I also used to live in Bangor and getting back to England or visa versa was a fookin nightmare. I'd far rather Monte's commute to the crudite meet0 -
2 planes and then you have to negotiate England...I'll swap youFormally known as Coatbridgeguy0

Hmm.. sounds interesting then. I warn you though, Mole hills really are considered mountains in Lincolnshire. I'm the biggest hypocrite here as I can't live up to the title 'mountain biker'.
Sure you could leave those tasty cakes you posted behind?0 -
Spoke to the wench at FoD trail is open no probs. So ride is as planned0

Why would he want to get to south Wales whenFOD is in England?0 -
Just my luck that the FODCA is closed tomorrow for a Rally! Looks like we will have to find something else to ride then.0
-
Well the actual trail itself wasn't closed when I went up on Saturday, the shop at the car park was though so I cant comment on that. Only had to watch out when crossing fire roads, but the rally was on a different stage when we rode round anyway so had no chance of getting mowed down.
The actual trail itself is a bit of a mess in sections, seems like some heavy machinery has just driven over the trail, forcing you to get off and carry the bike over certain bits. This did get a bit annoying, but overall wasn't too bad. Bare in mind it is only 3 miles though, several laps with a lot of cake should be fine though.0 -
is the plan still to meet there at 10.30?0
-
just remembered that the 20th is the same day as the 661 DH at FOD, it'll be rammed there.
might have to see about getting there a bit earlier, i might get a sneaky lap in before you lot turn up0 -

Yeah plan is still a 10.30 meet up, anyone hae any recommendations on the best place for us to congregate?0
-
Can you put me down as a maybe now.
Foot's still playing up, especially if I don't rest it.0 -
Im out of this one. Esp after the Cwm Carn ride.
Though my official reason is that I’m doing a local event (100km reliability ride) on a semi inappropriate bike (single-speed road bike with track gearing)."War is Peace; Freedom is Slavery; Ignorance is Strength." George Orwell - 19840 -
Fark!
The new job combined with staged relocation regime cancels me out from this weekend's ride
I am so very miffed about this and can only apologise, if I could make it, I'd be there for sure.
