Saracen Hytrail - the workhorse - now pensioned off
Kinetic-One FK1 roadie - the fast one - hairy legs though!

  • weather looks dry tomorrow but starting off cold, zero degrees rising to the heights of 5 degrees by the afternoon. Long tights for me then!

A nice day out! Bit nippy at times and a couple of dodgy moments on ice but a good look at part of the DD course.
Thanks Andy for organising the route. Hope your knee is OK and you got back safely. We were a bit concerned that your car was still at Big Peaks when we got back.

    Hi Mike
was good to meet you today it was a bit nippy out in the open
I got back ok I got a lift from Heathfield to Ashburton and got my car about 1pm it was ok riding down the hill from Haytor, pedal was still clicking away but my knee is fine
I have a quick look and it looks like the end of the spring is broken in the pedal and there is a bit of metal jammed under the cleat so that could be the problem
I will look into the XT pedals this week and order some of them
    see you again
