Budget road racer choice? Advice needed please!

I have shortlisted two ultra-budget road racers for my first drop-handled road bike.
Vitesse Sprint (currently in stock elsewhere for £180)
Viking Sprint (currently available at around £160)
It's ok, I am under no illusion as to the less than optimum build quality which is likely to be present. I just want something cheap and cheerful to get me started. I would intend to de-sticker either.
Based on the similar price of each, which would be the better buy for the price?
Thank you.

Buy secondhand at that price.
I bought a secondhand GT bike for the winter off eBay for £150 and it is specced out with Shimano Sora & Alex rims (which is likely to be better than those on the links)0 -

Could you stretch to £300? If so, I can heartily recommend the B'twin Sport 1. If not, I'd probably go 2nd hand as well - for me, at least, brifters were an absolute must-have...0
