Hi. Not sure if i have but this in the right section. But i am soon to get .a Tacx IMagic Furtius and just wondered if my carbon bike would be OK to use as it would be held rigid in the Tacx IMagic Furtius frame not being able to flex like when on the rollers or should i use the ally winter bike? Just wondered what most people do or does it not make a difference? Thanks

  • i use my carbon bike on the fortius, hasnt caused a problem.

Just make sure the fortius is level to reduce the risk of stress on the frame. Should be fine IMO.
Frames go through a lot when on the road in terms of stress with pot holes etc so imo its not something to worry about.

Just be prepared for how noisy using one can be, depending on the flooring you have in your house.
Its Italian, its carbon.....and some lanky tool rides it.
  • Should be ok. Personally more than 5k km on turbo with a carbon bike in 2 seasons. So far, it hasn't broken yet 8)

On the other hand, interesting "cracking" sounds if pedalling with great force while standing...
    50% in legs, 50% in bike :p
