Sore back side - but only on my Turbo Trainer ...

I find my rear begins to really ache after 30 minutes on my TT. No such problem on my road bike (note - different bike).
I've always thought this is due to the bike being completely rigid in a TT whilst the bike moves with you to some degree out on the road.
Anyone have a similar experience?

Probably because you move around on the bike, stand up, etc a bit more on the road.0

I posted the same thing about 2 days ago! My knees hurt after a while on the turbo, but not on the road, consensus was that the turbo highlights fit issues because it's rigid.FTT

This.
I started incorporating off the saddle for a minute at least every ten minutes will stop the soreness. It doesn't have to be this religious though you can break it up i.e. 30 secs out of saddle every five minutes or so to give your rear a respite and use slightly different muscles.0 -
Edit - Ahem,beer good last night0

A 2hr workout on a turbo...respect :shock:0 -
I think a turbo 1 hour session is equal to almost 3 hours road riding in many respects. You need to continually pedal, as apposed to freewheeeling down hill sections on the road.
It's more akin to TT riding where you need to remain still and pedal constantly.
So this brings up bike fitting and clothing very soon.CAAD9
