    They're a PITA eh? lol

I got 'stuck' behind one on the way to Birches Valley once. I swear the guy averaged 40 mph! No point overtaking!

Waylander: What about MTBers on their way to trails?

Stav: Well done, you'll probably find the most annoying things on the road are other drivers. On the phone, not indicating, driving at night/in fog with no lights on, doing make up, drinking a mug of tea on the motorway (as I saw this morning!), driving at 50mph past a school in a 20 zone, driving a 20mph on an NSL road.....ah, the joys!

yeh but the mtbers ont here way to the trail will be on decent bikes :p and probaly not in head to tow licra :p may let them live.

Well I'm stuck at a customers site, waiting to meet an engineer, so I'm watching "The Evil Dead" 8)
Got the boxset before Xmas and it's the first chance I've had to watch them

    Well an hour to go.

Think I can do all my calculations, just the practical bit and writing that I suck at. Just hope I don't kill my patient lol.

    Afternoon anuses.

My Scandal should, by now, be just down the road, sitting in the office at the school where my mum works. I, meanwhile, have been in the shed, looking for a couple of bits I need to built it and rebuild my Carrera.

What I was expecting to find:
    Old knackered rear wheel
    Brake caliper
    SS converter

    What I actually found:
    Old knackered rear wheel
    Brake calipers x 2
    SS converter + chain tensioner
    Brand new Deore rear hub
    Loads of headset spacers
    Pedals
    Bike computers x 2
    Tyres
    Various fixings I need
The old stem I use as a steerer tube cutting guide
    Spare brake pads x 4

All the extras are things I'd completely forgotten about until I actually found them. I greatly approve of having so many spare parts that I can't remember what I even have any more. :D

I'm going to go and build some brakes in a bit. A couple of caliper swaps and 2 complete builds with new levers, new hoses and new calipers.

    Good Afternoon Freaks!

Been to the doctors this morning for my flu-jab and for some drugs to reduce my high blood pressure. Reading the "nasty side-effects" leaflet, I'm not sure if I want to take them...

Busy, busy afternoon in the office, then home to repair the Focus's tyre/tube. Had a quick look last night and there's still at least another 3 tacks in there. New tyres aren't going to arrive before the weekend, so I've got to patch this one up (super-glue in the holes) to get me through the next couple of days.

your new job must involve a lot more work, i've noticed you only get on here lunch time at the moment, or are you just trying to create a good impression

Erm yeah…TBH, I really like my new job and yes, I’m trying to create a good impression. Past couple of days have been a near vertical learning curve for me with putting together information for a briefing. It won’t always be like that (I hope!). Also, I’m one minion down, so am also going through the recruitment process for that and then I can off-load some work in their direction.

Add to that, the main focus of my job is the promotion of walking and cycling as a “healthy lifestyle choice” and you can see why I’m diverting a lot of attention in that direction…

Cheers Guys, I lost most of it through gym a couple of years ago but now I keep yo-yoing between 14 and 15 and a half stone. I was happy at 14 which for my height (6ft 2) is a happy weight, so if I can get half a stone under and keep in that half stone bracket I'll be a happy bunny

Also making me a happy bunny, just booked a long weekend break in Keswick, so a bit of biking and a bit of canoeing I think

I see no mention of drinking. This makes me sad. You'll have to change HOMBRES to MBRES if that's the case :P

But the HO in HOMBRES means that drinking is a given, so no need to mention it. :D

Hell, I'm at work and I'm drunk now! :D
