To be fair, they probably did knock at the garage and said 'open up, in the name of the law' but when the guinea pigs failed to respond, they had to take matters into their own hands and break the door open.
My actual problem with this, is that they took such radical action on such flimsy information. A cannabis farm would create a 'hotspot', therefore every hotspot is treated as a cannabis farm.So if there were reports of a man (purely by coincidence) wearing similar clothes to you, driving the same model and colour of car, who'd been threatening people with a gun, would you be happy if you got stopped by the police and were late for a job interview because your car was being searched for weapons?
It would be more like you are walking down the street and then the police pounce and arrest you for 'having a suspicious bulge in your jacket'.
Carrying a concealed weapon creates a bulge, therefore everyone wearing a bulky jacket should be treated as though they are hiding a weapon.0 -
