I haven't seen Jibberjim guide - would you post the link?
You can measure 50mg by using a measuring cup set as used by chefs http://www.pamperedchef.co.uk/ordering/ ... ItmId=2258 or the cups that are included in recovery/energy tubs.
I like making a mix of water + bicarbonate of soda + electrolyte tablets + squash for long rides and chocolate milkshake + banana + + bicarbonate of soda for recovery.0 -

Those measuring cups measure volume down to 50ml: 50 millilitres.
50mg = 50 milligrams, which is a) a measure of mass, not volume and 2) A pretty small amount.
50ml of water weighs 50 grams, so you're talking a thousandth of that.John Stevenson0 -
Get some digital kitchen scales - you can tare them with any bottles etc on the scales and then its easy to add small quantities etc.
I've read a bit about sodium bicarbonate - how much do you add?0
