  • On the Second day of 11 I cycled to work and was pleasantly suprised that my fitness hadnt waned too much in the Xmas period, despite putting on half a stone!!

Shedding the Xmas bulk is priority number 1!

  • On the first day of 2011 I recovered from the night before.
  • On the first and second day I planned my trip out for the third day whilst still recovering from the last day.

  • On the 1st day of 11 I rode 35 miles in the rain - and it was brilliant (even though I found the only patch of ice left in Shropshire).

On the 2nd day of 11 I ate.

On the 3rd day of 11 I suffered on the turbo trainer before hunting down the last of the festive chocolate in the fridge!

    Yum Yum.

On 2nd I got a 50miler done. First time on the road since we got a metre of snow up here in Nov. It was freezing cold with sub zero temperatures , had to clean my bike when I got home but enjoyed it

    Beats the spinning bike anyday.

Ps Hey John good going with Boltby

.....got up early, as the others were still hammered due to the party not finishing till 4am, and went and mucked out our 2 horses. got home and then cooked about 5 kilos of bacon rashers for the 20 or so teenagers that remained asleep on the various floors!

On the 2nd day I did even less than the day before and then met up with mates in the evening!

Today I still didnt ride the bike!

I promise I'll get out this week!!!!!

On the 1st day I did a 20 mile ride - first time on the bike since the end of November! Hard
On the 2nd day I did the route in reverse - harder still
On the 3rd day I did a rather pathetic 17 miles. Was harder, felt worse and went slower :/ Results of cycling on a very restrictive detox diet I think!

On the first I did a 13 mile ride - not much, but rode all the way up Castle Hill in Farnham. A first for me.
On the second I ran in the Thames Valley XC league and scored for my club.
On the third CRC despatched my new bars.

on the first day of 2011 I went for a ride with my UK club, called it short to protect my knee, which'exploded' when I got home - on the second day of 2011 I could'nt put my foot down and spent 5 hrs at A&E, on the 3rd day I was on crutches - great start!

On the first day of 2011 I punctured for the first time on a mountain bike in 9 years.

On the second day of '11 I fixed said puncture and managed another 15 miles.

On the third day of 2011 I encountered some of the worst roads I have ever seen in my life, pot holes the diameter of a 700c wheel and 4-6" deep. 25 miles. Spent some time on FillThatHole.org.uk (not the porn stash it sounds - and not that there is any lira to pay for the damage) then spaffed £800 on new wheels.

I didn't ride ...and haven't since late november ......my trousers are very tight !
  • On the fourth day of 2011 I collected my new road bike and thought it a shame to take it outside where it's going to get dirty. Then went anyway.

On the 4th day I'm back on the rollers , I am so unfit, really need to get out more, but falling on frozen well rutted snow hurts. Just found out my nephew has got a road bike. Another excuse to go out  :

No Kindle success on day #5, but my compact bars did. Wow they're small.

Fingers crossed for day #6 - kindle and stem. And your 705. Amazon's complete lack of ability to supply a Kindle is entirely Wiggle's fault
  • ...and my lack of 705 is entirely down to Amazon

No dbout there will be a 'sorry we missed you' slip on the mat when I get home tomorrow......
