The new build is on it's way with many Christmas gifts coming together to create something greater than the sum of their parts.
Evil Sovereign in black
Fox Float R140
Hope Hoops with Flow rims
Panaracer Rampage
XT Gears
XT Brakes
XT Cranks - Dual ring
E13 DRS with Turbocharger bashring
Renthal bars
Superstar grips and pedals
Thomson Seatpost
Raceface Atlas limited edition blue
Lots of blue anodized parts from Hope, North Shore Billet, Goodridge and others.
Goodridge hoses and cables.
The detail and finish on the frame is top notch. The photos that will come once I have finished the build will not do it justice it's sexy as hell.
Only problems with the build has been getting the chainring bolts for the bashing as comes without.
The other was the crap instructions for the Goodridge hoses which resulted in broken fittings. Note to anyone else fitting goodridge hoses and using alloy fittings. Trim off 5mm of braiding as well as the 11mm of plastic sheath.

From what I can see, that's an awesome bike, well done.

I like that. A LOT!
Like someone ordered my entire CRC wishlist all at the same time
Needs more dropper post action though0 -
Such a nice looking bike and build. Always prefer black/blue to the more common black/red combo.
In the normal riding postion, does the cutout on the Spoon saddle stretch far enough forward to actually take pressure off your undercarriage?Carbon 456 http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtop ... t=12754782

I don't think you should have to cut the braid on the goodrige hoses, only the outer sheath needs trimming. I would think if you cut the braid you would weaken the connection too.
Nice bike....fancy one myself0 -

what are the renthal fatbars like?
When I first got them before mounting them on the bike I thought they were huge. Getting on bike they felt so natural. The Easton EA70's on my other bike seem so narrow now.
There is very little flex in them but they aren't harsh either. Not had any problems catching trailside growth but going through doorways doesn't leave much space.0 -

No problems with the undercarriage here  Charge Spoons are very popular due to being so comfy.0 -

Didn't have to cut the braiding off too much but more than Goodridge stated on their instructions. The first attempt following their instructions ended up with a snapped connection  I ended up removing 11mm of plastic as per the instruction and then 4mm of braiding. The hose is now tight in there and threads thightened up to leave a mm as per the instructions. Breaking connections at £25 per hose whilst following the instructions is annoying, a quick search on google and I wasn't the only person to have had this problem. Following advice from others and it works a treat.0 -
Looks the nuts, what dose it weigh?0
