Cheap fan for the pain cave?

Can someone suggest a large, cheap, powerful mains fan to make riding rollers indoors bearable? Even with the window open today (it's -4° outside) I was melting. A search for "box fan" turns up things like this:

Can I do better? I'm not sure if I'm using the right key words.

I have a desktop fan about 9-12" with several settings and it does fine - how about this?

I'm now in the garage so dont need any cooling for most of the winter!
in fact this is the exact model I have and its pretty good although indoors in summer might be a challenge...

Wouldn't one on a stand be better so that you can position it at the right height? I got mine from Argos for less than £20 (admittedly a few years ago). Mine's probably 24" diameter or so.

I'd been thinking I might get something more powerful with a box fan but that's pure speculation. I could put it on my desk so height isn't a big issue. That said, these look ok for the money:

...And I suppose I could always get 2 if it isn't powerful enough.
Thanks for pointing me towards ebay, I'd forgotten to check there.0 -

Even on the lowest setting the cooling effect is impressive and no it doesn't have to be on a stand if its angled properly.0 -
Take a trip to your local ASDA. I bought a 16" fan from them yesterday, its a floor standing one height adjustable and made a hell of a difference to by turbo session last night. It was only £10.0
