Betting for positive dope test for 2011 first??
Hello,
Silly season is here. I feel as though we shoud have a "sporting" bet on who will fall foul of the chemical enhancement regulations (doping) for 2011. (Contador is an exception unless he rides again!!)
The list should maybe be restricted for the Top 20 riders and they are as follows-
1 Joaquim Rodríguez (ESP) Team Katusha
2 Alberto Contador (ESP) Astana
3 Philippe Gilbert (BEL) Omega Pharma-Lotto
4 Luis León Sánchez (ESP) Caisse d'Epargne
5 Cadel Evans (AUS) BMC Racing Team
6 Vincenzo Nibali (ITA) Liquigas-Doimo
7 Robert Gesink (NED) Rabobank
8 Ryder Hesjedal (CAN) Garmin-Transitions
9 Tyler Farrar (USA) Garmin-Transitions
10 Samuel Sánchez (ESP) Euskaltel-Euskadi
11 Michele Scarponi (ITA) Androni Giocattoli
12 Alexander Vinokourov (KAZ) Astana
13 Andy Schleck (LUX) Team Saxo Bank
14 Fabian Cancellara (SUI) Team Saxo Bank
15 Fränk Schleck (LUX) Team Saxo Bank
16 Edvald Boasson Hagen (NOR) Team Sky
17 Denis Menchov (RUS) Rabobank
18 Chris Horner (USA) Team RadioShack
19 Tom Boonen (BEL) Quick Step
20 André Greipel (GER)
Ha Ha!! The joys of a cycling fan!!

Given how lucky Rabo seem to have been in recent years (Dekker, Humanplasma), I'm going for Gesink to redress the balance.___________________

Plenty to choose from, i'm guessing there will be more than one throughout 2011, but first could be someone in Tour Down Under so Number 20.0

Scarponi - previous form, increased expectations and a fat sack of cash.
(assuming that Tommeke doesn't have another out-of-competition cocaine positive or that Schleckette doesn't get an upset tummy from eating too many GummiBear multivitamin jellies)'This week I 'ave been mostly been climbing like Basso - Shirley Basso.'0 -
Scarponi for me too.....although Nibs and Cancellara are both contenders imo :shock:0

I'd say Scarponi if I had to pick."I have a lovely photo of a Camargue horse but will not post it now" (Frenchfighter - July 2013)0

Right then, Scarponi is obviously guilty if so many of us reckon he'll be the first to get popped in 2011, so:
How long should his ban be? Is he remorseful?0 -
I think we should inform Androni Giocattoli the obviously don't realiseCervelo R5

Is that the bloke above for your Avatar Supergoose; if so...well that's just mad...nice though.
Bets for me; Scarponi as he is old and they seem to be the worst as they don't care about a 2 year ban as they so old. Actually just looked on Wikithing and he's 31. I thought he was at least 45?? He still looks old so my bet still stands.
Hesjedal would make me laugh as Garmin are a bit too clean to be possible.
Also Spartacus has done some amazing and out of this world rides and we all know how that ends up.
Is FF a man or lady; I thought she/he was Contador's Mum at one point?? so confused...

:?
I'd be surprised if Boonen is caught doing anything like that again.
I'd also suggest that Boonen's probably not the only guy in the peleton who likes a bit of the white stuff.0 -

He may have a point but wouldn't that mean more unemployment :?: like stop going to war

Surely the unemployment figures would be reduced, because the drug dealers could officially put that as their occupation.
Then again, their heavies would lose their jobs, as would the illegal drug traffickers. Then again, you'd probably get the growers/suppliers also being officially recognised as employed. Swings and roundabouts.0
