Just because the Sky, Garmin and Leopard kits have a band across them and use blues, blacks, whites, it doesn't make them the same - they are actually quite different, especially when you consider the backs.

Leopard have no chance if they start off by taking their fashion cues from Brad Wiggins!

    A sponsor will come.

Judging by the quality of the team, they'll be winning a lot.

Don't you think it's a bit weird that they haven't got any yet? It's been in the works since June.

High Road was a bit of a rush-job when T-Mobile bailed out, though. Bob Stapleton didn't have X amount of months to plan before he started his team, but he still found lots of smaller sponsors to contribute before finding Columbia.

I understood that T-Mobile paid up their sponsorship in full, so High Road was fully funded even after the sponsor withdrew.

Sideshow Bob is also a billionaire, having sold VoiceStream to T-Mobile for $25 billion.

In the same year as Garmin came on board with Slipstream I believe. Both found their sponsors just before the tour. I expect the same from Leopard.

So far I'm unconvinced about the branding of Leopard as a team. It's like Team Sky (dare I say it...) without the substance. Sky was a big media type launch and they tried to differentiate themselves as being more innovative than the other teams with a demonstrable (if you ignore the DS) line against doping. This backfired a bit on both counts but at least they had something to say.

Leopard seem to be talking a lot about being different without actually telling us in what way they're different. It's all just empty words so far. I mean, watch this video...

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSQTwl8x ... r_embedded

It's not surprising that they brought something like this out given that they hired the Cervelo marketing guy. But it misses the mark when compared to "Beginnings" the first Cervelo episode. All this talk of family and friendship about a sponsor that they've been working with for just a few months. It is just so flimsy and empty.

We knew we were being sold to by the Cervelo flims, but we got content so we didn't mind. This attempt is rather sad if you ask me. They'll undoubtedly win lots but as a team they are already beginning to annoy me. I hope that changes.

The difference between leopard and sky, is that leopard have the best GT rider, and probably the 3rd or 4th too, argubly the best rider of the 2010 season who is a serial winner of big races, and support riders who are almost good enough to lead a pro-continental team on their own right.

They're easily the strongest team on paper, by a LONG way.

Races aren't won on paper though.

There's a possibility of too many chiefs and not enough indians if you ask me. Who's going to do the dirty work?

Guys like Wegeman who realise they'll never win anything that matters.

Nope. Nor am I happy with how the Luxembourg authorities brushed it under the carpet. Why the UCI and WADA didn't challenge that decision puzzles me.

    Am I being super dumb?
Why name the team leopard and then not put the riders in leopard skin lycra? Just imagine how edible Fabian and Linus would look in leopard time trial suits.

Wow! Must say, I like their draft response - I hope they send it.

They even want to pronounce Leopard as "lay-oh-pard" - why, who's going to pronounce it like that?

    Please welcome LAYOPARD TREK?

Bog off - long live team-leppud-trek!

A bad judgment call to try and dictate to the media in that way. My only sympathy lies with their objection to the prefix "Team". There seems to be a modern day obsession with Team this Team that. Where did it all start and why?
