We need one of the 'geeks' to make/find a way we can keep voting for Laura...

  • Wow he has got to be the saddest guy on earth to join that many forums just to win a small grant.
  • Her votes are up to 635, so we must be making some sort of difference.

Just voted from my phone, will see if I can work out a way to vote more when I get home.

    Hi,
I've joined this fine forum just to spam you with links to some competition. I don't ride a bike.

To be fair, if you go on his website www.peterhodes.co.uk he does ride a bike

He also seems to be some kind of semi-pro climber, which undoes any 'worthiness' that the bike created...

just to throw a spanner into the works ( a little). I know Peter and can vouch for the fact that he's a really canny person who has done some amazing achievments in climbing and slack lining - a lot of solo aid climbing and slack lining across Gordale.
Anyway just been chatting with him and he relises that the plan has backfired somewhat but Hey Ho!

    So Vote for Laura
I'm going to blow the bank on a new build ( within reason ) NOW DONE!!

He might be a nice guy, but I think Laura's plan is infintely more deserving.

I changed my Stalking Kitty Facebook page to Vote for Laura but seems a bit useless - only members are me and Sheeps.

Pete's got over 250 votes in the same time that 3rd place has got about 30. He must be doing some serious campaigning/cookie erasing!

  • Obivously, this peterrhode user who posted the OP won't be the real Peter Rhode.

Why would he posted on forums and asked people to vote for another person who he is competing against for the same competition?

this is a cheap tactic of Laura Nicholls and for this reason, I am going to vote for Peter.

    NOOOOOO!

Pete Rhodes joined the forum, purely to ask a bunch of bikers to vote for him, and so vote against Laura, who happens to be using a bike for an epic ride that involves helping people.

We didn't like Pete doing this, so the admins changed his original post to say "don't vote for me, vote for Laura instead". If you read the whole thread you'll get it. Also if you read the challenges I don't know how you could pick Pete over Laura.

I think his point is that people who read it now without reading on may think exactly the same as they did for when it was unedited, as in that he's her husband trying to scourge votes for her or something like that.

oops.... Sorry all....... that was the epic-est fail for me in my whole life....

from now on i will vote for Laura.

does anyone know if more than one vote from the same IP count? i can write a automation script to vote for her.
