Devils tattoo by Black Rebel Motorcycle Club or Lost art of keeping a secret by Queens Of the Stone Age. But the absolute greatest is Deamon Cleaner by Kyuss, no one gets it the first time they listen but it is just immense, one of the greatest rock songs ever, very dark.
All the greatest riffs are in psychadelic/stoner rock music.

as very much a 'johnny-come-lately' fan of AC/DC (last 3 years or so), I think for a pure guitar riff you'll go a long way to beat this...

Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak.
And then you put in the milk.

I'm much more of an F1 fan than a rock fan, so my opinion my be clouded by that, but I do love the riff from Fleetwood Mac's The Chain.

Rock fans may not think its a great riff, but it sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it and makes me drive a bit faster.
